On May 26, 2019, 22 Christians in Japan from The Church of Almighty God joined in the garbage cleaning activities respectively in Tsuchiura City, Ibaraki Prefecture and Urawa City, Saitama Prefecture, well receiving by some of local Japanese residents.
At 8:00 am of May 26, 16 Christians from The Church of Almighty God positively joined in the “Zero Garbage Activity” in Tsuchiura City, Ibaraki Prefecture. They carefully cleaned and picked up the garbage along with the street. Till 9:30 am, the activity ended and they have collected lots of garbage.
At 9:00 am of the same day, another 6 young Christians from The Church of Almighty God joined in the “Zero Garbage Activity” in Urawa City, Saitama Prefecture. Local Japanese residents said that they had never seen so many young people joining in such cleaning activity and they warmly welcomed these Christians. When these Christians walked through the streets to clean the garbage, some Japanese said hello to them enthusiastically. In a harmonious and pleasant atmosphere, the garbage cleaning activity ended at 10 o’clock.
Although it was quite hot on the day and the Christians worked up a sweat, they still faced with smile and continued to clean the garbage. Their positive attitude toward life had impressed some local residents.
Some Christians said that it’s worth repaying to the society with their practical actions. We felt pleasant to make the living environment cleaner and more sanitary by cleaning the garbage of the streets. Actually this is also our responsibility and we’ll continue to join in such activity in the future.
